Quit smoking gift card
By Nick, founder of SmokeFree AI, who quit after 23 years · Last updated 11 August 2026 · General information, not medical advice
Write a card for someone who is quitting, then send it as a link or print it. It costs nothing, because the thing that helps most costs nothing. What people quitting remember is that somebody noticed and said so.
For someone who is quitting
I am in your corner for this one.
What to write on it
Promise something specific you will actually do. "I will pick up on day three, whatever time it is" is worth more than good luck, because day three is when the withdrawal peaks and it is usually when nobody says anything. Naming a real moment tells them you understand what is coming.
Two things to avoid. Do not make it conditional on them succeeding, because quitting normally takes several attempts and a card that only counts if they never slip adds weight to the worst days. And leave the jokes about the habit out of it.
Give it after the first week
Day one is not a celebration, it is a grind, and a card at the start can land as an expectation. The moments where people hear nothing and could use something are day three, the two week mark when the habit cravings bite, and one month, when they quietly decide they have proven the point and one would be fine. Send the timeline with it if they have no idea what is coming.
Can you buy the app as a gift?
Not yet, and it is worth being straight about why. SmokeFree AI bills through Google Play, and Google Play has no way to gift a subscription to someone else. Rather than take your money for something we cannot deliver, the card points them at the app, which is free to start, and at the free guides, which need no account at all.
If you want to spend money, the gift guide has the things that actually help, and the savings calculator will tell you what their habit is costing so you can size it sensibly.
Something that answers at 2am
SmokeFree AI is an AI coach for the craving that arrives when nobody else is awake, with a 90-day plan and real savings tracking. Free to start.
Launching September 1, 2026Common questions
Is this gift card free?
Yes. There is nothing to buy and no account to make. You write the card, then send the link or print it. It carries a promise and a pointer to free quit guides rather than a balance.
Can I buy a SmokeFree AI subscription as a gift?
Not at the moment. SmokeFree AI bills through Google Play, which does not support gifting a subscription to someone else. The app is free to start, so the card points them there and they can decide for themselves.
What should I write on a quit smoking card?
Something specific you will actually do. Offering to take a call on day three, or to keep them company on the first Friday night, beats good luck. Avoid making it conditional on them succeeding, and avoid jokes about the habit.
When should I give it to them?
After the first week rather than on day one. Early days are a grind, and a card at the start can read as an expectation. Day three, the two week mark, and one month are the points where people most often hear nothing at all.
